A central Florida physician, Dr. Nikki Vyas, MD is medical director and dermatopathologist at Vyas Pathology. Dr. Nikki Vyas, MD, completed her residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in 2020, where she served on committees, received awards and grants, and became a fellow in dermatopathology.
Dr. Vyas’s expertise in dermatopathology began with her training in the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency program at Mount Sinai Hospital in 2015. She developed expertise in testing and diagnosing laboratory specimens. She also served as chief resident and held a seat on the American Society of Dermatopathology Virtual Slide Library Committee, the ASDP Ethics Committee, and the ASDP Young Physicians Committee. During her residency, she also was part of the Icahn School of Medicine Graduate Medical Education Leadership Program. In addition, she received the ASDP Mentorship Award and an American Society for Clinical Pathology Foundation Resident Subspecialty Grant.
Upon completing her residency, Dr. Vyas undertook a fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine in 2020 for specialized training in dermatopathology. She continued serving on committees, such as the ASDP Social Media Committee, the ASDP Membership Committee, and the College of American Pathologists Federal and State Affairs Committee.
Dr. Vyas opened Vyas Pathology Dermatopathology in 2024. She performs assessments and diagnostics on laboratory specimens. She has a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences with a minor in Spanish language and earned her medical degree from the University of South Florida.
